most of my ancestors were minions.

they followed the coin. where there was a leader who held land or had factories that’s where my ancestors would be.

they were also farmers

clearers of land

soldiers

And the bearers of many many oh so many children

they seeped into this continent

into the coast and along the waterways. Doing the bidding of those whom they followed.

they were the colonizers

we are the settlers.
